Hebrew School

The goal of the Congregation Beth Shalom Hebrew School is to help each child find sources of significance and enrichment in Jewish living. All activities of the school, directed toward this aim, constitute the curriculum. Our integrative program incorporates experiential Jewish learning to enhance our students’ connection to their religion, while preparing them for b’nei mitzvah and beyond.

Dear Hebrew School Families,

My name is Rabbi Nick Renner and I’m the new Associate Rabbi and Director of Lifelong Learning at Congregation Beth Shalom! I’ve met some of you and I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you soon!

I’m very excited to share the link (see below) to the registration packet and forms for the 5782 (2021/22) school year.  If you have multiple children enrolling in Hebrew school, please fill out one form per family by listing all your children. the linked registration packet and forms reflect no changes to last year’s curricula or general schedule other than we will likely have a combination of in-person and virtual Hebrew School programming based upon parent preference and ensuring the continued safety of our students and faculty.

In terms of connecting with each of your families, I want to give you the opportunity to share your thoughts on what enhancements and improvements you would like to see as well as what is working well.  Key to this process is for you to enroll your children as soon as possible and be a part of the process.

I’m so excited to join your congregation and welcome our students back to Hebrew School and Youth Programs! It’s gonna be an awesome year!

Going forward, if you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me by email anytime.  To speak confidentially regarding financial questions and/or arrangements, please contact Shari, Executive Director, by phone, 302-654-4462

I’m looking forward to connecting with your family and welcoming your student to a great year together!

We welcome parent participation as we continue to develop our program.
