Hebrew School
Dear Hebrew School Families,
Hebrew School at CBS is the biggest point of connection for children, from pre-K through B’nei Mitzvah, and beyond. Starting with the 2023-2024 school year, Hebrew School is tuition-free for members! As part of Congregation Beth Shalom’s commitment to raising the next generation of Jewish leaders, this means connecting: Jewish tradition and Torah, Israel, students, and our own family stories. Our integrative program deepens students’ connections with Judaism, preparing them for B’nei Mitzvah and Jewish life. Our program meets on Sunday mornings and, older grades meet midweek as well. We have families from across DE and over the PA state line, so our midweek component is offered both virtually and in-person. CBSY (Congregation Beth Shalom Youth, our program for 7th-9th grade) meets in-person twice a month on Sundays.
Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year begins this summer. If you have any questions about the form, please contact Sharon Rosengarten, our Hebrew School Administrator at srosengarten@cbswilmde.org. I look forward to seeing you for the start of Hebrew School on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

The goal of the Congregation Beth Shalom Hebrew School
is to help each child find sources of significance and enrichment in Jewish living.
All activities of the school, directed toward this aim, constitute the curriculum. Our integrative program incorporates experiential Jewish learning to enhance our students’ connection to their religion while preparing them for b’nei mitzvah and beyond.
