Hebrew School
The goal of the Congregation Beth Shalom Hebrew School is to help each child find sources of significance and enrichment in Jewish living. All activities of the school, directed toward this aim, constitute the curriculum. Our integrative program incorporates experiential Jewish learning to enhance our students’ connection to their religion while preparing them for b’nei mitzvah and beyond.

Dear Hebrew School Families,
We’re excited for another year of Hebrew School at Congregation Beth Shalom!
If there’s one element that defines the experience, it’s that of connection; and the connection goes in several different directions.
First, our students connect with our shared Jewish tradition. Whether through prayer, holidays, or Torah stories, we’re rooted in Jewish traditions that reach back centuries and millennia.
More immediately, students connect with their own Jewish family journeys and stories. Our Hebrew School students learn from family holiday traditions and recipes, and Jewish objects like seder plates or kiddush cups. Most importantly, they learn Jewish values passed down through the generations.
Lastly, our students connect with the world around them. Whether it’s Jewish places like Israel, different Jewish ideas and movements, or just making Jewish friends, our Hebrew School is a focal point for our children to connect with the world around them.
Come and connect with us! If you want to hear more about our program, values, or community, we’d love to get to know you!
